CPF Contributions for Platform Workers

Pickupp is categorised as a Platform Operator, and accordingly with regulations, income earned by Platform Workers on applicable jobs will be bound by CPF rules.

What Types of Orders Are CPF-Applicable?
ONLY orders accepted by yourself (i.e. all Pool and Prematch orders swiped from DA App or Dispatch orders) are applicable for CPF contributions.
All orders which are assigned or which there is a pre-existing agreed price are not CPF-applicable.
Any CPF Hold amount for assigned orders will be reconciled monthly, and the excess returned to your DA wallet for subsequent cashout.
Who is a Platform Worker?
You are considered a platform worker if you are signed up as a freelance delivery agent with Pickupp, and only for orders which are accepted by yourself (i.e. all Pool or Prematch orders swiped from DA App or Dispatch orders).
Any CPF Hold amount for assigned orders will be reconciled monthly, and the excess returned to your DA wallet for subsequent cashout.
Do CPF Rules Apply to Part-Time Delivery Agents?
Yes, CPF contribution rules apply to all delivery agents regardless of status, Rather, the CPF rules differ on the type of orders. CPF rules only apply on orders which are accepted by yourself (i.e. all Pool or Prematch orders swiped from DA App or Dispatch orders).
Any CPF Hold amount for assigned orders will be reconciled monthly, and the excess returned to your DA wallet for subsequent cashout.
CPF Contributions Calculation
Your CPF contributions are calculated based on nett earnings (i.e. gross earnings minus Fixed Expense Deduction Amount, FEDA).
The FEDA varies by mode of transport:
Cars, Vans, Lorries, Trucks: 60%
Motorcycles, Power-assisted Bicycles: 35%
Bicycles, Walkers: 20%
Your mode of transport will be determined by your latest declared mode of transport on Pickupp's platform.
The rate of contribution depends on your opt-in status*, age, and nett monthly earnings.

*Note: opt-in status refers to status officially made via the CPF platform (refer to this link); your declaration on the DA app is irrelevant.
When and How Do I Make CPF Contributions as a Delivery Agent?
CPF contribution calculations will be done automatically in the DA app on each order payroll (refer to the CPF Hold amount in payroll). Any CPF Hold amount for assigned orders will be reconciled monthly.
Total CPF contributions will be reconciled at the end of each month and:
i) Any excess deductions will be refunded back to your DA wallet by the 14th of the following month for your subsequent cashout
ii) CPF contributions will be submitted to the CPF Board by the 14th of the following month
You may use the CPF Contribution Calculation Tool on the CPF website to check your amounts. A reminder that only Pool, Prematch and Dispatch orders are CPF-applicable.
When Does CPF Rules Start?
In accordance with the Platform Workers' Act, CPF rules apply for all applicable orders from 01 January 2025.
As such, backdated CPF contributions must be made on all nett earnings generated from applicable orders (i.e. only Pool, Prematch or Dispatch orders) from 01 January 2025. Your portion of the CPF contributions will be deducted from your Pickupp wallet accordingly.
